This section focuses on Years 10, 11 & 12 and provides information relevant to students in these years.

Year 10
After Christmas in Year 10, your daughter will start thinking about what subjects she wants to do for GCSE. If she is not doing GCSEs she may do Entry Level Certificates.

Year 11
When your daughter reaches Year 11, she will start the two year GCSE course.The work becomes harder and more demanding. All subjects have an element of coursework with some subjects having as much as 60% of the overall mark.Your daughter will probably start her coursework this year but the majority will be done in Year 12. 

Year 12
At the beginning of Year 12 a Careers Adviser may speak to the class and give them the opportunity to complete a careers questionnaire called 'Getting Connected' which will help identify what stage your daughter is at with career planning. After this, she may get an opportunity to have an individual interview with her Careers Adviser who will give her information,advice and guidance on her options. So what are her options?
