- Practising as a qualified Career Adviser from 1980 in the Newry and Kilkeel area of Northern Ireland.
- Trained in special needs and practising in this specialism since approximately 1981.
- Career break from 1998 to 2003. During this period I lived and worked in the United States of America. Whilst there I worked for the Washingotn State Legislature - House of Representatives - Democratic Caucus. For the majority of this time I was employed in the area of constituent relation. I also worked as a personal assistant to the Honourable Dave Upthegrove, Assistant majority Whip - representative for the 33rd legislative district of Washington State.
- From August 2003 I have once again been practising as a Careers Adviser with special needs duties in the Newry and Kilkeel area.
- I have responsibility for the following schools and Learning Support centres.
Schools - St Louis Grammar School Kilkeel, St Mary's High School Newry, St Colmans Grammar School Newry, and STEPS (AEP).
Learning Support Centres - St Marks Warrenpoint Physically Disabled, Kilkeel High School - Kilkeel, St Columbans High School - Kilkeel
50% Caseload Special Needs in the Kilkeel/ Newry area. |
